Help keep school sports accessible for every student at Pemberton Secondary!
As the Pemberton Red Devils Alumni Association, we are committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to participate in school athletics, regardless of financial barriers. Rising travel costs and reduced government funding have made this increasingly challenging. In past years, our annual fundraiser, The Shaker, has helped us provide vital support for tournament fees, travel, accommodations, uniforms, and equipment.
However, the cost of hosting The Shaker is no longer sustainable, and we’ve had to adapt. We’re grateful to have secured a $12,500 annual grant through the Pemberton and District Initiative Fund (PDIF), supported by the Village of Pemberton and the Squamish Lillooet Regional District – Area C. While this funding is a huge step forward, we still need to raise an additional $12,500 each year to maintain the same level of support for our student-athletes.
To help bridge this gap, we’ve launched this GoFundMe (link below).
Funds raised will go directly toward:
• Tournament and participation fees ($10,000–$12,000 annually)
• Travel subsidies so students pay no more than $100 per trip
• Essential uniforms and equipment for all major sports teams
